Harris awarded $10.6M army IT contract

IT company Harris has been awarded a $10.6 million, one-year contract by the U.S. Information Systems Engineering Command to upgrade the communications and IT networks at 23 U.S. Army medical treatment facilities.

The U.S. Information Systems Engineering Command is responsible for network upgrades to the military health system facilities that utilize the most current technology, according to Harris, of Melbourne, Fla.

Harris will provide IT wired and wireless network modernization support, delivering a network to medical professionals, the company stated.

The Harris team includes subcontractor Federal Resources. This contract was awarded under the nine-year, $20 billion IT Enterprise Solutions-2 Services (ITES-2S) contract vehicle.
