Dell to buy InSite One
The combination of InSite One’s cloud-based archive software and storage services with Dell’s Unified Clinical Archive will assist with data retention and allow medical professionals to access and share images regardless of the technology employed.
According to the Round Rock, Texas-based Dell, InSite One will give Dell a storage-as-a-service platform to archive digital content for companies in other industries on a subscription or pay-as-you-go basis.
“We want to immediately reassure the market that everything will be business as usual,” Mitchell Goldburgh, senior vice president of marketing and business development at Wallingford, Conn.-based InSite One, said in a press statement. “Once the deal closes, the entire InSite One team will transition to Dell. There will be no changes to our leadership team or reporting structure. In addition, we will continue to support and service the full range of InSite One technology and you will continue to work with the same InSite One team members as you have in the past.”
Terms of the transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions, were not disclosed.
