Medica to offer personalized online health management program

Health insurance company Medica will begin to offer a personalized online health management program for its commercial members on Jan. 1, 2011. The online program determines a person’s health status and ability to take health-related action, enabling Medica to tailor support and allocate resources to its members.

The program provides a personal homepage customized to each member where information is presented based on the member’s ability to make changes in his health, the Minnetonka, Minn.-based Medica stated.

Developed by Insignia Health, the program includes steps for improving health and includes more than 200 personalized health topics covering a variety of conditions.
