DICOM Grid introduces ImageCare

DICOM Grid, a provider of a cloud-based platform for medical imaging management, has made available DICOM Grid ImageCare, a cloud computing platform to assist searching, sharing and exchanging medical images using consumer web applications such as Google, Facebook and iTunes.

ImageCare delivers a web-based application that provides image sharing along with long-term archiving, the Phoenix-based company stated.

Using DICOM Grid's Split-Merge technology, ImageCare's functionality incorporates security and privacy, allowing physicians to access imaging data over any internet connection, the company added.
