Toshiba touts new DR system

Toshiba America Medical Systems is offering Radrex-i Standard, a new digital radiographic (DR) system that allows facilities to replace film or CR cassette processing with a digital system.

The Radrex-i Standard includes ergonomic controls on the overhead x-ray tube and image processing, according to Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba.

The Radrex-i Standard can perform out-of-bucky work with a 14”x17” tethered portable detector, allowing radiology departments to image gurney and wheelchair patients, as well as perform cross-table imaging and image patients while standing. The new DR system offers a 500-pound table weight limit, a 300 kHU x-ray tube and an 80-kW generator.
