Florida children's clinic deploys Philips' Ambient Experience

Royal Philips Electronics has installed its Ambient Experience offering in a pediatric x-ray setting at Nemours Children’s Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla.

The offering integrates architecture, design and technology, including lighting, sound and projection, said Andover, Mass.-based Philips, and allows the patient the opportunity to set the room theme, lights and sounds using a touchscreen tablet.

Philips added that the technology was first introduced in MRI and CT settings and is now available in combination with the company’s digital radiography and fluoroscopy room offerings.
