Riverain appoints new medical advisory board
Riverain Medical has established a new board of advisors, made up radiology, oncology and hospital administration professionals who will oversee product development and improvement for its advanced visualization technologies.
In addition to advising on enhancement and commercialization of Riverain’s OnGuard Chest x-ray computer-aided detection (CAD) and SoftView Enhanced Chest Imaging, the new board also will advise on new products in development, according to the Dayton, Ohio-based company.

- George R. Blumenschein, Jr., MD, an associate professor of medicine, thoracic/head and neck medical oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
- Lynn S. Broderick, MD, professor, department of radiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison;
- Benjamin W. Edinger, MD, diagnostic radiologist at Radiology Imaging Associates in Clinton, Md.;
- Heber MacMahon, MB, BCh, professor of radiology and chief of thoracic imaging at the University of Chicago;
- Lynn A. McVey, senior managing partner of Imaging Fusion and past-president of AHRA;
- Jeffrey A. Palmucci, CRA, partner at Imaging Fusion and past-president of AHRA;
- J. Cullen Ruff, MD, Fairfax Radiological Consultants and assistant professor of radiology at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va.;
- Cornelia Schaefer-Prokop, MD, associate professor of radiology at Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam; and
- Charles S. White, MD, professor of radiology and medicine, vice chairman and chief of thoracic radiology at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
