ASTRO: GE releases Radiation Oncology Options

GE Healthcare displayed its new Radiation Oncology Options for the 1.5T Optima MR450w at the annual meeting for the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), Oct. 31 through Nov. 2 in San Diego.

Radiation Oncology Solutions includes a flat couch insert with industry standard indexing and MR-compatible positioning devices for potentially improved tumor targeting in the brain, head/neck and pelvis. The product was developed by Waukesha, Wis.-based GE Healthcare in collaboration with Civco Medical Solutions, which produces radiation therapy patient positioning devices and is headquartered in Kalona, Iowa.
