Quality Partners of Rhode Island named a REC consultant on EHRs

Quality Partners of Rhode Island, a healthcare quality improvement organization, has been selected to participate in the Rhode Island Regional Extension Center’s (RI REC) Vendor Marketplace.

Quality Partners’ participation in the Vendor Marketplace will give Rhode Island physicians access to the organization’s health (HIT) advisors’ expertise and services. To date, Quality Partners’ HIT advisors have assisted more than 100 Rhode Island practices in preparing for and implementing EHRs.

In the REC marketplace, physicians can find vendors and implementation consultants, compare services and access standardized tools and services for effective implementation. By identifying qualified EHR vendors and consultants, RI REC can help doctors choose and implement EHRs and reduce risk of failure.

The REC was formed under a federal grant intended to assist healthcare providers in adopting EHRs and achieve meaningful use of EHRs. The RI REC is a program of the Rhode Island Quality Institute (RIQI).
