Medipattern granted U.S. patent for CAD platform

Medical software company Medipattern has received a U.S. patent for its "system and method of computer-aided detection (CAD)” technology, which is embedded in its software line, the Cadenza Platform.

The technology is a cross-modality CAD platform for breast ultrasound and breast MRI, and is currently being tested for use with vascular imaging, the Toronto-based company said. The technology has also been used in research applications for thyroid and prostate cancer, Medipattern added.
