Oridion, IMI team for patient monitoring devices

Medical device company Oridion has entered into an agreement with IMI, a medical equipment distributor in Japan. The agreement will extend Oridion's presence in the Japanese market with its line of Microstream capnography monitoring products.

IMI will bundle sales of Capnostream 20 capnography monitors with its ventilators, according to the Needham, Mass.-based Oridion. The monitor/ventilator package will be branded as SafetySet. IMI will begin selling the Capnostream 20 monitors and FilterLine etCO2 sampling products into the critical care environment and home care areas throughout Japan, Oridion added.
