Stanley awarded $15M to support NHIN

Stanley was awarded two time-and-materials contracts, valued at $15 million, by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT to provide operational and infrastructure support for the Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN).

Under one of the new two-year awards, valued at $7 million, the Arlington, Va.-based company will develop and maintain a tools and standards repository for the NHIN to facilitate wider use of the standards and an increased level of interoperability across the U.S. in health IT.

Under the second two-year award, valued at $8 million, Stanley will upgrade and manage the testing infrastructure for the NHIN, including developing an infrastructure of processes and tools needed to confirm that the candidate implementation system conforms to specifications and can interoperate with other conformant technologies.
