CCHIT gives Keane's EHR thumbs-up

Keane Optimum 3.1, Keane’s EHR technology, has received preliminary EHR certification from the Certification Commission for Health IT (CCHIT).

Keane Optimum has preliminarily met 22 of 22 requirements for hospitals published by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in the interim final rule of January related to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). These requirements were revised with the publication of the final rule on July 13. For the purpose of qualifying products for ARRA incentives, CCHIT anticipates, but has not yet received, accreditation by HHS.

Keane Optimum delivers an EHR by including the requirements of an EMR, decision support tools and a flexible database architecture, the Boston-based company stated.
