HP unveils new EHR assistance product
HP has introduced HP EHReady, which supports the adoption of EHRs among hospitals and physicians by offering to physicians the ability to stay connected through an integrated EHR patient network.
The program offers tools that include hardware, software and support along with installation, setup and training services that can be customized for medical practices and targets products from desktop PCs to notebook PCs and scanners, the company stated.
EHReady includes financing options designed to help organizations fund immediate investments on EHR technology while they secure American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 subsidies and provides marketing services support to help hospitals promote the technology to their affiliated physician networks, according to the company.
HP’s network of resellers is available to support EHReady with site assessments, training, implementation and support services for hospitals and their affiliated physicians, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based company stated. HP also said it will be extending the program to healthcare associations and regional extension centers, providing them an EHR tool to extend to their member bases.
