Amcom introduces mobile app with event notification

Amcom Software has released version 2.4 of its Fusion mobile event notification technology, featuring expanded support for Polycom phone systems including integration of the Kirk 8000 platform.

Fusion 2.4 provides connectivity between clinical alarm systems such as nurse call, patient monitoring and fire panels with mobile staff's wireless devices, the Minneapolis-based company stated.

According to Amcom, Fusion integrates with the current capabilities of wireless voice programs such as the Kirk 8000 telephone system in addition to existing options Amcom's customers currently offer, such as sending messages to wireless devices, email systems, smartphones, SMS, cellular phones and pagers.
