Philips integrates cardiac advanced viz software into MR

VPDiagnostics has signed a co-marketing agreement with Philips Healthcare to provide its FDA-cleared carotid artery atherosclerosis analysis package, called MRI-PlaqueView, for Philips MRI customers.

The software has advanced visualization tools to analyze plaque burden and highlight plaque features, including semi-automatic plaque delineation and characterization and to generate reports, according to the Seattle-based VPDiagnostics. Philips has developed an ExamCard for carotid artery imaging on its Achieva 3T.
