ONC Enrollment Workgroup seeks bloggers

The Enrollment Workgroup of the Health IT Policy and Standards Committees has opened its blog page for public input on standards for enrollment in health and human services programs, the Workgroup announced yesterday.

The Workgroup said it is seeking suggestions on its blog for “bringing eligibility determination and enrollment in health and human services programs into the 21st Century."

The workgroup is authorized by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) to recommend a set of standards to facilitate online enrollment in Federal and state health and human services programs, including standards for:
  • Electronic matching across state and federal data;
  • Retrieval and submission of electronic documentation for verification;
  • Re-use of eligibility information;
  • Capability for individuals to maintain eligibility information online; and
  • Notification of eligibility.

To comment, visit the Enrollment Workgroup's Federal Advistory Committee Act (FACA) Blog website or send email to judy.sparrow@hhs.gov, using “enrollment workgroup” in the subject line.
