Denver provider to hire 200 specialists in IT overhaul
Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), a Denver-based nonprofit healthcare system, will hire more than 200 specialists across the country, as part of a $1.5 billion program to enhance clinical IT across its network of 72 hospitals in 18 states.
The project will be implemented over the next five to seven years. Many of the new jobs will be based in Denver although some key positions will be “virtual,” allowing employees to work remotely, CHI stated.
More than 100 positions are expected to be filled in just over three months to support the program, with an additional 100 positions to be filled during the next 12 months. According to the provider, the new employees will supplement CHI's approximately 800 current IT employees.
