GE debuts web-based EMR

GE Healthcare has added the Saas (Software as a Service) tool for small, independent clinical practices, Centricity Advance, to its Centricity family; offering a combination of EMR, practice management and patient portal tools.

According to GE, Centricity Advance features an economical up-front investment of time and resources; training; maintenance and support; and protocols for connectivity with outside systems.

With Centricity Advance, implementation and training can be completed under four weeks, the company reported.

Centricity Advance’s Patient Self-Service Portal provides patients with their own secure password enabling them to log in from anywhere to schedule their own appointments, request prescription refills or access billing statements, lab results and private messages from their clinicians, GE added.
