A vision of a connected and interoperable healthcare infrastructure is one of the most significant healthcare industry efforts of the 21st century. Since 1998, IHE functioning as an international consortium of healthcare professional organizations and industry, has worked collaboratively to foster adoption of standards-based solutions to information sharing in healthcare worldwide.
