Verizon, BL Healthcare test remote health apps

Verizon Wireless, BL Healthcare and a number of customers and third-party providers will jointly trial products for the delivery of remote healthcare applications and services to patients.

According to the Basking Ridge, N.J.-based Verizon Wireless, the applications will leverage Foxboro, Mass.-based BL Healthcare's remote health management platform and Verizon’s network and offer an alternative approach for healthcare application developers and other healthcare service providers.
