DR Systems' cloud computing trial gets underway

Healthcare information systems provider DR Systems has released a partial list of the medical facilities in the U.S. which will be participating in its electronic medical information exchange (eMix) business venture trial.

The facilities currently include:
  • Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, Calif.;
  • Radiology Specialty Imaging in Long Beach, Calif.;
  • Harborview Medical Center in Seattle;
  • Advanced Medical Imaging Bremerton in Silverdale, Wash.;
  • Northwest Radiologists in Bellingham, Wash.;
  • Washington Imaging Services in Bellevue, Wash.;
  • Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna, Alaska;
  • Glendive Medical Center in Glendive, Mont.;
  • St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Mont.;
  • Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tenn.; and
  • Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Fla.
 
eMix is a cloud-based technology for sharing reports and imaging studies between different healthcare facilities and physicians via email, said the San Diego-based company.
