AdvancedMD broadens EHR portfolio with PracticeOne purchase

Medical management company AdvancedMD Software has acquired PracticeOne, a privately-held provider of EHR software, for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition of PracticeOne expands the Draper, Utah-based AdvancedMD practice management product to include a software-as-a-service (SaaS)-based EHR. According to the company, the acquired product line also includes a patient portal enabling Web-based communications between patients and the practice, and mobile access allowing access to patient information and medical decisions via Smartphones.

Not included as part of the acquisition agreement is the PracticeOne billing service, which was sold prior to AdvancedMD’s acquisition.
