EDDA, Shimadzu ink CAD, DR partnership

Shimadzu of Kyoto Japan, and EDDA Technology of Princeton, N.J., have entered into a business partnership for digital chest x-ray computer-aided detection (CAD).

Their combined product will feature systems based on the direct radiography system Shimadzu, which features a direct conversion flat panel detector and EDDA's CAD applications.

This partnership will feature distribution of EDDA's chest x-ray CAD applications with Shimadzu's DR system through Shimadzu's sales channel. In addition, the firms will work on the development of new applications integrating Shimadzu's DR application with EDDA's CAD technology.
