Texas hospital deploys Philips MRI system

Cuero Community Hospital in Cuero, Texas, is now utilizing Philips Healthcare's Panorama high-field open-scanner MRI system.

The MRI is integrated with Philips Ambient experience, which allows patients to personalize their testing environment. The patient opening of the system allows for patients and their families to view beach, mountain or animated scenes projected on the wall or ceiling while undergoing scanning. According to the company, the MRI software lowers the energy level that the MRI consumes while it is not in use, or between scans, through the use of a specialized amplifier.
