Texas center deploys Siemens 3T MRI

Memorial Hermann Imaging Center in Houston has implemented the Magnetom Verio Open Bore 3T MRI by Siemens Healthcare.

The bore on the Magnetom Verio is more than two-feet wide and four-feet long, allowing it to meet the needs of patients with special needs, such as obesity (up to 550 lbs), claustrophobia and anxiety.

The 3T MRI’s applications include neurology and functional neurology evaluation; orthopedic and cartilage assessment; and breast, vascular and cardiac imaging, the company said.
