Axolotl offers new technology to share images through HIE

Axolotl has released Elysium Image Exchange, a technology that enables the electronic sharing of medical images between healthcare providers participating in a health information exchange (HIE).

Authorized users of the HIE can access images from multiple disparate PACS from any radiology and cardiology imaging provider that participates in an HIE, said the San Jose, Calif.-based firm.

According to Axolotl, Elysium Image Exchange benefits include improved referral processes, ready access and fewer user licenses.
