RTI releases new x-ray/light field alignment tool

RTI Electronics has developed Nova, a new product and method for verifying the alignment between x-ray and light field.

The Mölndal, Sweden-based company said the system gives less than 1-mm resolution over the entire measured area and provides real-time documentation. Nova can be used for both analog and digital x-ray applications, the firm said.

A camera is included so that video of the fluorescence can be captured without being in the room, RTI said. Because the markers are visible in the snapshot, the user can see the deviation between the two fields, according to the company.
