New digital pathology service being offered by Aperio

Digital pathology developer Aperio Technologies has begun offering its technology based on a monthly fee, calculated on the basis of throughput.

The Clinical Partner Service program is designed for hospitals and reference labs that need to scan batches of slides in an allotted period of time on a daily basis. The Vista-Calif.-based company said its program gives labs the option to adopt digital pathology without investing up-front capital.
