McKesson debuts patient record app

McKesson has unveiled a new health information management tool, the Horizon Patient Folder Release of Information, at the 2009 American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) convention this week in Grapevine, Texas.

The company said the tool automates the steps associated with the release of patient records. It is currently in beta trials and is set for commercial availability later this year, according to McKesson.
