Carestream unveils PACS for small practices at AHRA
Carestream Health is launching a PACS for small medical practices at the 2009 meeting of the Association for Medical Imaging Management (AHRA) in Las Vegas this week.
The product, MX-Clinic View, will be marketed to physicians' offices and clinics by authorized dealers. Target markets are expected to include podiatry, chiropractic, urgent care, general radiology and orthopedics, the company said. It is currently available for order from U.S. dealers, and will be available in other global regions later this year.
The system provides users with a plug-and-play solution for one-to-five concurrent users and is designed for up to 15,000 imaging exams a year. The PACS MX-Clinic View is available as a standalone system or as a bundled solution that includes a DirectView Classic CR or Elite CR system, or a Point-of-Care CR system. In addition to CR, the MX-Clinic View can support DR, ultrasound, MRI and CT.
The MX-Clinic View features image annotations and enhancements, orthopedic measurements, long-length imaging and support for multiple-monitor workstations and multiple image layout types. Its output and storage options include several months of on-line storage, output to CD or DVD and up to four terabytes of RAID storage. It also accommodates the import, storage and display of non-DICOM data.
