Meta unveils CPOE system

Medication safety information systems developer Meta has released MetaCare CPOE, a clinical provider order entry system.

MetaCare CPOE gives the prescriber the ability to view patient profiles and provides clincal decision support for all order types with results reporting anywhere they have access to the Internet, according to the Floral Park, N.Y.-based company. Meta said its CPOE and suite of patient safety products provide a medication management system.

A component of the MetaCare Enterprise patient safety solutions, MetaCare CPOE operates on a database platform that is shared by all MetaCare products, including the MetaCare Rx Pharmacy management system, MetaCare eMAR point of care bar code medication administration system and MetaCare Intellidocs electronic forms management solution.
