Medicity, Eclipsys forge HIE partnership

Medicity and Eclipsys are partnering to deliver a health information exchange (HIE), HealthXchange, to Eclipsys clients.

By leveraging Medicity's Care Collaboration Platform, the vendor-neutral solution will enable access, exchange and sharing of patient-centric clinical information, allowing the exchange of health information among disparate systems within and across acute care, ambulatory and community settings, according to the Atlanta-based Eclipsys.

The Salt Lake City-based Medicity serves more than 700 hospitals and health systems, HIEs and thousands of physician practices.
