Trophies to be defended: Top 10 vaccinating states last flu season

They’re doing something right in New England. All six states in the region ranked among the 20 with the highest vaccination rates last flu season.

Additionally, five of the six made the top 10—and the three in the southern part will be looking for a three-peat of sorts this year, as they secured the one, two and three slots.

The rankings were compiled by the Kaiser Family Foundation using CDC data.

Noting that the data represent the percentage of the population older than 6 months who were vaccinated during the 2019-20 influenza season, Kaiser lists the top 10 states as follows:

1. Rhode Island—60.9%

2. Connecticut—60.7%

3. Massachusetts—60.6%

4. Virginia—58.8%

5. South Dakota—58.7%

6. Nebraska, Wisconsin (tie)—58.3%

7. Maryland—57.8%

8. D.C., New Hampshire (tie)—57.6%

9. Vermont—57.0%

10. Iowa—56.6%

A string of executive orders from the White House created serious concerns among radiologists and other healthcare providers throughout the United States. The American College of Radiology issued a statement to help guide its members through the chaos.

Bridgefield Capital, founded in 2015, has previously invested in such popular brands as Cirque Du Soleil, Del Monte and Quiksilver. This transaction is expected to be completed in the second half of 2025.

Given the precarious excitement of the moment—or is it exciting precarity?—policymakers and healthcare leaders must set directives guiding not only what to do with AI but also when to do it.
