Top Cigna execs to retain positions after Express Scripts deal finalized

Ten top Cigna executives will keep their same positions after its $67 billion acquisition of Express Scripts is finalized. The company announced its enterprise leadership team for the combined Cigna and Express Scripts Holding Company on Thursday, Sept. 27.

The company’s combined enterprise leadership team will include: chief marketing officer Lisa Bacus, chief information officer Mark Boxer, president of U.S. government business Brian Evanko, president of strategy and solutions Matthew Manders and Nicole Jones as general counsel.

Steven Miller, MD, will serve as the chief clinical officer, John Murabito as the chief human resources officer, Eric Palmer as the chief financial officer, Jason Sadler as the president of international markets and Michael Triplett as the president of U.S. commercial business.

The executives will report to David Cordani, who will serve as the combined company’s president and CEO. Express Scripts president and CEO Tim Wentworth will serve as president of the health services business.
