Toddler uses Facetime to save father’s life during stroke
When 3-year-old Molly saw her father, Trevor, lying lifeless on the floor of their living room unable to speak, she sprang into action and saved his life—using Facetime.
Molly recalled how her parents use their phones, particularly Facetime, to call her grandparents. Despite not knowing how to read, she was able to reach her mother, a nurse, who called a neighbor for help.
"I think she went through those motions and watched us many, many times, and she knew how to do it," Devon told CBS News in Virginia.
Molly's father had suffered a basilar artery occlusion—a form of acute stroke, from which 85 percent of people do not survive. He was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he underwent treatment. Since then, he was taken off life support, his feeding tube was removed and he's expected to make a full recovery.
