Brigham and Women's Healthcare appoints new CIO

Brigham and Women's Healthcare (BWHC) in Boston has named Adam Landman, MD, as its new chief information officer.

Replacing Cedric Priebe, MD, Landman will be responsible for developing strategic IT initiatives with the goal of developing the next generation of information systems within BWHC.

Landman is currently a physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine and serves as BWHC's chief medical information officer. for health information innovation and integration.

"Adam is the best possible leader to assume this role. He has been ably overseeing a range of Partners eCare/Epic implementation and optimization responsibilities and is experienced in designing early-stage technology innovation," said Betsy Nabel, MD, president of BWHC. "He will continue to provide leadership in advancing innovation, which is fundamental to the success of the investments in IT we have been making to deliver on our mission of exceptional care to our patients now and in the future."

Landman is a graduate of Yale University, a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar and board certified in emergency medicine and clinical informatics.
