Healthcare regulators in the country’s fourth most populous state are getting barraged with complaints about hospital understaffing.

If the country avoids slipping into an economic recession over the next few months or even years, it could have the healthcare job market to thank.

“Rural healthcare delivery is in trouble and private equity may have a role in supporting it," a Rad Partners leader told attendees. 

Advanced practice providers have enjoyed a raise in total cash compensation of 16% over the last five years. That’s a sharper upward pay trajectory than physicians or nurses have seen over that period. 

"Changing just six alerts in the system knocked out about 5 million alerts annually," explained Patrick McGill, MD, executive vice president and chief transformation officer at CHN.

A new national index showing levels of job satisfaction among nurses has Michigan Medicine and Houston Methodist tied for the top spot overall, at least within the “hospitals and health systems” subcategory.  

This past summer McKinsey Global Institute projected almost one-third of workplace activities in the U.S. will be automated by 2030, driving something like 12 million “occupational transitions.” 

The doctor says the social media post that led to his suspension was taken out of context. "I have not supported, do not support and will not support acts of terrorism," he said.
