PHOTO GALLERY: AMA House of Delegates meeting
These are images from around the American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates (HOD) 2025 meeting in Chicago. This is the annual meeting of representatives from the whole of the House of Medicine, who create and vote on resolutions for the policy directions. The adopted resolutions give direction for advocacy efforts on healthcare policy and reimbursement issues by the AMA in Congress, state legislatures and when making formal recommendations to regulatory agencies.
There are 134 national medical societies and 54 state and regional medical societies that make up the roughly 700 voting members of the HOD. The number from each depends on the number of AMA members each have. The HOD annual agenda usually consists of about 1,200-1,400 pages of resolutions and AMA staff reports on key issues in healthcare.
