Trump pushing for another ACA repeal attempt in September

September to set to be a busy month for Congress, with deadlines approaching on the next federal budget, the debt ceiling and the question of continuing insurer subsidies under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). President Donald Trump wants to add another item to that large agenda: another try at repealing the ACA.

“He thinks if we don’t get healthcare done, we’re losers,” said one adviser.

Some encouragement may come from other conservative groups. The House Freedom Caucus has the support of the Club for Growth on a repeal-only bill, but other groups want the administration to focus on tax reform.
