MGMA announces board changes

A new chair and three new members have been named to the board of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).

“MGMA is committed to bettering the practice of medical groups across the U.S. through innovation, talent, data insights and adaptation,” MGMA President and CEO Halee Fischer-Wright, MD, MMM, said in a statement. “Our new and returning board members truly encapsulate these core values. I look forward to working with them to move the needle in the healthcare conversation and influence critical healthcare decisions in this ever-changing landscape.”

The new board chair will be Yvette Doran, MBA, who has served as chief operating officer for Ascension Medical Group, a part of Saint Thomas Medical Partners based out of Nashville, since 2015. She has been on the national MGMA board for three years, and will take over the chairperson’s role from Ronald Holder Jr., MHA, vice president of medical specialties at Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, Texas. Holder had only been named to the role in February 2017.

The three new members of the board are:

  • Ryan Campbell, corporate director of physician services at DCH Health Systems in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
  • Gregory Feltenberger, PhD, MBA, CEO of Idaho Urologic Institute in Meridian, Idaho
  • Lindsey Tubbs, MBA, senior clinical department administrator at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas
