Medical Group Management Association announces new CEO

Halee S. Fischer-Wright, MD, has been hired as the chief executive officer and president of the Medical Group Management Association. She begins her new job on March 23.

Fischer-Wright is currently the chief medical officer of St. Anthony North Health Campus in Colorado. She previously served for 12 years as president of Rose Medical Group, which included 680 physicians. She is also co-author of Tribal Leadership, a book published in 2011.

“I am awed and inspired by the power of the national voice of 33,000 MGMA members, participating in groups of all sizes, specialties and their ability to lead high performance medical practices that elevate patient care, despite the overwhelming velocity of change in healthcare,” Fischer-Wright said in a news release. “I am thrilled to be named MGMA president and chief executive officer and to have the opportunity to work alongside such passionate members and talented staff.”
