eQHealth Solutions names new senior medical director

A new medical executive has joined eQHealth Solutions, a population health management company that serves government and commercial organizations.

Ellyn Theophilopoulos, MD, JD, began duties this week as corporate senior medical director, the company said in a statement. She’s a graduate of the University of Florida’s College of Medicine and the Stetson University College of Law and is board certified in pediatrics.

In her new role, she will provide clinical oversight of client contracts and serve as the medical and clinical lead that engages with clients on a regular basis.

Prior to joining eQHealth, she was a medical legal consultant for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, a hospitalist at East Lake Pediatrics and an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of South Florida.

“I am pleased Dr. Theophilopoulos will be joining our organization,” said Glen J. Golemi, president and CEO of eQHealth, in a statement. “Her unique background coupled with her insights, strategic direction and guidance will prove invaluable in leading clinical operations and physician review processes across our client base.”
